TED NUGENT Leads Cheers For BUSH In Texas

November 3, 2004

John MacCormack of The Express-News is reporting that Ted Nugent provided autographs and a celebrity buzz whie some 300 of the Republican faithful in President George W. Bush's adopted hometown of Crawford, TX gathered in a community center late Tuesday to watch the states turn red and blue.

Nugent, fresh off a day of stalking Texas whitetails, said he wanted to support the candidate who represents the American Dream — "of being all you can be."

"That's George Bush's interest, and that's certainly the Nugent mantra," said Nugent, who owns a home in Crawford and is a local favorite. "Can you imagine the alternative? It'd be like putting a hippie in charge."
